Devon County Council has issued a temporary rolling road closure notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Section 16A) to enable the Remembrance Sunday Procession in Hatherleigh.

When

Sunday 8 November 2026, between 10:00 and 12:30.

Roads affected

The closure is rolling, moving through the town in two stages:

• 10:00 – 10:45: Oakfield Road (from Sanctuary Lane), Market Street and Bridge Street
• 11:45 – 12:30: Bridge Street

No vehicles will be permitted to proceed on the affected sections, except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those roads.

Diversion route

A signed alternative route will be in place via the A386 Bassett Cross, Higher Street, Victoria Road, or A386 Oakfield Road / Park Road.
